Hi Larry! I’d love to see a photo of the house if you’d be willing to email me one or tell me where I could see it online. Otherwise, there are several decent style guides to be found online. As for books, the best is Virginia and Lee McAlesters’ “Field Guide to American Houses.” I actually discuss it and link to its Amazon page in an article above.
